Allianz Insurance Singapore has appointed Ong Bi Ying as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2026, succeeding Hicham Raissi, who is leaving the company to pursue opportunities outside the Allianz Group.
Ong joined Allianz Insurance Singapore in 2019 and has held progressively senior positions, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer. In that role, she played a key part in strengthening the company’s operations and capabilities as the business grew.
Anusha Thavarajah, Regional CEO of Allianz Asia Pacific, said Ong’s understanding of the business and Singapore market positioned her well to lead the company.
“With her deep understanding of the company and the Singapore market, I am confident Bi Ying is well positioned to lead Allianz Insurance Singapore into its next chapter,” Thavarajah said.
She also thanked Raissi for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Raissi said, “It has been a privilege to lead Allianz Insurance Singapore. I am proud of what we have built together and confident the company is in excellent hands with Bi Ying.”
Ong said she was honoured to take on the role and would focus on working with employees and distribution partners to support the company’s growth.
“I am honoured to take on this role and look forward to working with our team and distribution partners to continue driving growth and delivering innovative insurance solutions for our customers,” she said.
The leadership transition comes as Allianz Insurance Singapore continues to build its operations and capabilities in the Singapore market, with Ong bringing experience from her six-plus years with the company into the CEO role.
