The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Mirian Candido Farias as Vice President, People & Culture for its Digital Organisation, effective immediately.
Farias announced the move on LinkedIn, describing the new role as sitting “at the intersection of people strategy and digital transformation”.
Her career has spanned both digital and human resources functions. Before joining Coca-Cola, Farias spent more than two decades at Mars, most recently serving as Vice President of Human Resources – Digital Transformation from August 2024.
At Mars, she partnered with the global Chief Digital and Information Officer to support the digital transformation of its Pet Nutrition business. Her responsibilities included organisational design, leadership recruitment, product-team structures, talent allocation and decision rights across digital functions.
Reflecting on the move, Farias said: “My career started in digital, later moved into HR, and over time brought both worlds together.”
She added that her experience had reinforced the importance of people capabilities in digital transformation.
“Digital transformation is rarely won or lost on the technology. It is won in execution, in whether people have the clarity, the ownership, and the capability to actually use what we build,” Farias said. “That is where People and Culture belongs, inside the work, not alongside it.”
Farias joins Coca-Cola after holding a series of senior HR and digital roles at Mars. Her previous positions included HR Director and Senior P&O Business Partner for Global Pet Nutrition, HR Talent and Capability Development Director, HR College Lead and Senior HR Business Partner.
She began her career in technology, including roles as a Digital Technologies Business Partner and IT Support Analyst at Mars, following an earlier stint at Brasil Telecom. Her experience has therefore covered digital operations, technology implementation, HR business partnering, talent development and organisational design.
Farias said she was grateful for the opportunity and the welcome from Coca-Cola’s Global Digital Network and People & Culture teams.
“Coca-Cola is a legendary company, and this is a rare opportunity to help build its next chapters,” she said.
