Frasers Property has appointed Tan Wee Hsien as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Designate of its Singapore business, marking a planned leadership transition that will see him succeed Soon Su Lin as CEO on 1 October 2026.
Tan will join the company on 8 September 2026 and will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi. He will oversee the strategic direction, investments, operations, and development management of Frasers Property's retail, commercial, residential, and mixed-use portfolio in Singapore.
Soon Su Lin, who has led Frasers Property Singapore since 2022, will transition into an advisory role supporting the Group CEO. She will also continue serving on the boards of One Bangkok Co., Ltd. and Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Ltd., the manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust.
The appointment follows a planned succession process aimed at ensuring leadership continuity for the business, customers, and partners.
During her more than nine years with Frasers Property, Soon played a key role in several landmark developments across
Thailand and Singapore. Before returning to Singapore, she served as CEO of Development in Thailand, where she led projects including The PARQ and the development phase of One Bangkok, one of Thailand's largest integrated developments.
Under her leadership in Singapore, Frasers Property expanded its capital partnerships and joint ventures, co-developing projects such as The Orie, the upcoming Dunearn House, a prime site at Kallang Close, and the redevelopment of Robertson Walk and Fraser Place into The Robertson Opus.
She also strengthened the company's investment portfolio through acquisitions, capital recycling, and asset enhancement initiatives. The business increased its ownership stake in The Centrepoint on Orchard Road, acquired NEX alongside Frasers Centrepoint Trust, and completed enhancement works at Tampines 1 and Alexandra Point. Soon was recognised as Real Estate Personality of the Year at the 2025 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.
"Su Lin has made an invaluable contribution to Frasers Property," said Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group CEO of Frasers Property.
"I am grateful for her leadership, for what she has achieved in Singapore and for the pivotal role she led in the development of One Bangkok. She has built deep partnerships and shown what our Purpose means in practice. I am glad she will continue to contribute to the Group in an advisory capacity."
Reflecting on her tenure, Soon said she was proud of the team and strategy developed during her leadership.
"I have been in discussions with our GCEO on a planned handover, and I am pleased to be supporting Frasers Property and Wee Hsien in this transition. I look forward to contributing to the Group's strategic priorities in my new role," she said.
Tan joins Frasers Property from CapitaLand Development, where he currently serves as CEO for Vietnam & International. He previously held the role of CEO of New Business and Strategic Planning, overseeing new market expansion, investment strategy, corporate planning, and sustainability initiatives.
His earlier leadership experience includes serving as CEO of MCL Land and Director and Head of Development Property for South Asia at Hongkong Land. Over a career spanning three decades, he has also held senior real estate roles at Great Eastern Life Assurance, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Ascendas.
Welcoming the appointment, Panote said Tan's extensive regional experience would strengthen the company's leadership team. "He brings deep regional experience across multiple asset classes and a strong record in real estate leadership. His perspective will be valuable as we execute our strategy and create long-term value for our stakeholders in Singapore," he said.
Tan said he looks forward to building on the strong foundation established by his predecessor.
"I am honoured to lead Frasers Property Singapore at this pivotal time for the business. Frasers Property Singapore is embarking on its next exciting phase, with a robust retail portfolio and several significant development projects ahead. Together, we will continue to shape the future of Singapore's real estate landscape and create places for good," he said.
