GlobalLogic has appointed Raj Narayanaswamy as Senior Vice President and Country Head of Japan, as the Hitachi Group company looks to strengthen its leadership and growth in the Japanese market.
Narayanaswamy, who is based in Tokyo, announced the appointment on LinkedIn and said he was pleased to join GlobalLogic, describing the company as being at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital engineering and enterprise transformation.
He said GlobalLogic has been an early advocate of digital transformation and the convergence of the physical and digital worlds, adding that the company continues to advance an AI-first approach while keeping people at the centre of innovation.
“As part of Hitachi, one of the world’s most premium brands,” Narayanaswamy said, GlobalLogic is part of a legacy focused on using technology to address real-world problems and contribute to society.
The appointment comes after more than three years at L&T Technology Services, where Narayanaswamy served as Vice President and Country Head – Japan. Reflecting on his departure from L&T Technology Services and the wider L&T Group, Narayanaswamy said his tenure had been marked by professional relationships and transformational experiences.
Narayanaswamy brings more than two decades of experience across technology, engineering services, sales and business development to his new position.
Before joining L&T Technology Services, he spent about 18 years at HCL Technologies, where he held several leadership positions across Japan, India and the US.
During his earlier years at HCL, Narayanaswamy worked on the company's US SMB and named-account businesses from India. He also helped establish HCL's PowerPC Centre of Excellence and worked on strategic accounts spanning the US, India and Japan.
Narayanaswamy's appointment comes as technology services companies increasingly reposition their offerings around AI, digital engineering and enterprise transformation.
In his announcement, he highlighted GlobalLogic's combination of AI and digital engineering capabilities, alongside its connection to Hitachi's broader industrial and technology ecosystem.
His background across engineering services, semiconductors, telecommunications and enterprise sales could support GlobalLogic's efforts to deepen relationships with Japanese businesses as organisations accelerate digital and AI-led transformation.
Narayanaswamy holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida and a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras.
