Graybar appoints Michelle Reckelhoff as Vice President of Human Resources

Graybar has appointed Michelle K. Reckelhoff as its new Vice President of Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team as the Fortune 500 distributor continues its business transformation.

In her new role, Reckelhoff will provide strategic leadership across Graybar's HR centres of excellence, including people operations, total rewards, talent attraction and talent management. She will also oversee initiatives to improve the company's HR systems, platforms and processes.

The appointment comes as the employee-owned company continues to invest in its workforce and organisational capabilities to support long-term growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Beverly Propst, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Graybar, highlighted the strategic importance of people and culture to the company's future.

"As we transform Graybar for the future, our people and our employee ownership culture remain vital to our success," said Propst. "I am confident Michelle will provide the leadership, vision and innovative thinking to ensure our HR strategy supports our business priorities, so our people and our company will continue to thrive."

Reckelhoff joins Graybar after spending more than two decades at Caleres, where she most recently served as Senior Director of Human Resources Business Partnerships. In 2022, she received the St. Louis Business Journal's HR Award, recognising leaders who drive workplace excellence and innovation across the region. She holds a bachelor's degree in organisational studies from Fontbonne University and is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional.
