Kapil Arora to lead Ogilvy Indonesia as CEO from 2026

Ogilvy Group Indonesia is preparing for a major leadership shift as Kapil Arora steps into the role of CEO on January 1, 2026. His appointment comes as Sieg Penaverde wraps up a six-year tenure leading the agency through transformation, post-pandemic recovery, and several client-driven expansions. Penaverde is moving on to pursue a new professional chapter, marking the end of a defining era for the organisation.

Arora joins the top job with a long and diverse history inside Ogilvy. Over the past 24 years, he has worked across several markets, managed some of the network’s largest clients, and held leadership positions in multiple offices. His career has taken him from overseeing Vodafone’s business in India to leading Ogilvy Delhi and later co-heading 82.5 Communications. Most recently, he has been serving as chief operating officer in Indonesia, working alongside Penaverde and strengthening the agency’s client partnerships and integrated offerings.

During this period, Arora has overseen some of the agency’s most strategic client relationships, including Nestlé, Azko, SMBC, Kimberly-Clark, and Mastercard. He has also played a key role in strengthening Ogilvy Indonesia’s integrated capabilities across content, social, PR, and influence—areas that have become core to the agency’s growth over the last two years.

Reflecting on his new role, Arora said he is “excited and honoured” to lead the Indonesia business, adding that the market’s talent strength and client partnerships position Ogilvy for its next phase of growth. “We will harness Borderless Creativity and the full breadth of Ogilvy and WPP’s capability to deliver work that creates impact for our clients and communities,” he said.

Penaverde, who guided Ogilvy Indonesia through significant organisational shifts—including post-pandemic restructuring, talent realignment, and a renewed focus on integrated solutions—expressed gratitude toward the team for their resilience and shared success.

In a note on the transition, Kunal Jeswani, CEO of Ogilvy ASEAN, acknowledged the contributions of both leaders. He credited Penaverde for the stability and cultural strength he brought to the Indonesia operations, and expressed strong confidence in Arora’s ability to guide the agency into its next phase. Jeswani said the shift positions Ogilvy Indonesia for a renewed period of growth focused on creativity, collaboration, and deeper regional alignment.
