Mitsubishi Fuso appoints Xiaohui Du as Senior Vice President and CFO

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has appointed Xiaohui Du as Senior Vice President & CFO, Head of Financial & Controlling, strengthening its leadership team as the company advances its strategic growth ambitions.

Announcing the appointment, the company said “MFTBC is pleased to appoint Xiaohui Du (Carrie, Xiaohui Du) as Senior Vice President & CFO, Head of Financial & Controlling.

Formerly President and CEO of Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive, she brings a wealth of experience to support our strategic ambitions. Welcome to the team, Xiaohui.”

Du brings over two decades of experience spanning finance leadership, joint venture governance, operational transformation, and business strategy across the automotive sector in China and the broader Asia region.

Before joining Mitsubishi Fuso, she held multiple senior leadership roles across Daimler-affiliated businesses. As SVP and Co-CFO at Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive, she was responsible for finance, HR, and IT functions within the Mercedes-Benz business unit while also serving on the joint venture’s management committee and Daimler Truck Asia’s finance leadership team.

During her tenure, she led the development of end-to-end financial, HR, and IT management systems, supported governance transformation initiatives, and drove large-scale cost and workforce optimisation projects during business ramp-up phases.

Earlier, as EVP of Product & JV Controlling China at Daimler Greater China, Du played a key role in financial steering, joint venture negotiations, product lifecycle management, and M&A-related discussions involving several passenger vehicle ventures in China.

Her experience also includes serving as CFO and Head of IT at Fujian Benz Automotive Comoany, where she led profitability turnaround initiatives, introduced company-wide KPI frameworks, and implemented large-scale cost efficiency programmes that reportedly delivered significant budget savings.

Across her career, Du has worked extensively in areas including financial governance, stakeholder management, operational excellence, business transformation, and leadership development.

Academically, she holds a finance and accounting degree from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics and has completed executive education programmes at institutions including IMD, University of Dayton, and ESMT Berlin. She is also associated with professional accounting qualifications including ACCA and CICPA.

The appointment comes as automotive and manufacturing companies globally continue to strengthen leadership capabilities around governance, operational efficiency, and transformation amid ongoing industry shifts.
