P&G appoints Ratul Ghosh as Vice President-HR for APAC

Ratul Ghosh has been elevated to Vice President–Human Resources (CHRO), APAC at Procter & Gamble (P&G), taking responsibility for the company’s People and Organisation strategy across 10 markets spanning ASEAN, Japan, Korea and Australia.

Ghosh announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, saying he was stepping into the new role with the belief that “people are always front and center of great outcomes”.

In his new role, Ghosh will lead the regional HR function in partnership with P&G’s APAC Executive Board. He will also be responsible for developing future HR talent across the region.

Ghosh joins the APAC leadership role after serving as P&G Japan’s Vice President–Human Resources and CHRO for the past two years. In Japan, he was part of the country's executive board and led the HR function across the company’s headquarters, offices, manufacturing sites, R&D innovation centre, field sales and beauty operations.

He has spent more than two decades at P&G, building experience across country, regional and global HR roles in multiple markets.

Before becoming Japan HR head, Ghosh served as Senior Director–HR for P&G’s Pampers and Marketing functions across Asia, Middle East and Africa. He led HR for the regional Babycare business and Marketing function across more than 15 markets, including talent development and staffing for more than 650 marketers.

Prior to that, Ghosh was Chief HR for P&G Korea while also serving as Regional Employee Relations Head for Asia, Middle East and Africa. His responsibilities included organisation strategy, employee relations, employment policies and governance across more than 40 markets and 18,000 employees.

Ghosh also held senior HR leadership roles in India, including Country HR Head for Supply Chain, and Plant HR Head. Earlier in his P&G career, he led regional talent practices for Japan and Korea and headed talent supply and learning and development for P&G India.

Reflecting on the move, Ghosh credited managers, mentors and colleagues for supporting his development throughout his career, describing the new role as another step in a “lifelong learner” journey.
