PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s leading PropTech company, has appointed Ruth Kerr as its new Chief People Officer, effective immediately.
Kerr succeeds Helen Snowball, who recently stepped down from the role after nearly three years of service.
Sharing the leadership transition news on LinkedIn, Kerr wrote, “Delighted to be leading the People & Culture function at PropertyGuru and joining the Executive Leadership Team. Together with the support of the People Leadership Team, I’m looking forward to 2026 and driving the people strategy across our markets in Southeast Asia.
We will continue evolving to support our business in the markets we serve and enabling all our Gurus to BeMore. We have another exciting year ahead as we evolve together and create what’s next.”
She also extended her wishes to Snowball, adding, “A big and sincere thank you to outgoing CPO Helen Snowball for all your support and leadership over the last two years since I joined PropertyGuru, and for your drive to transform the People & Culture function to where we are today.”
In her own farewell note last week, Snowball wrote, “After close to three years as Chief People Officer at PropertyGuru Group, the time has come to say goodbye to this amazing organization and embark on an exciting new chapter… I wish Ruth Kerr and my amazing People & Culture team, executive peers (past and present), current CEO Lewis Ng, Chairman Trevor Mather, our entire board, and EQT investors nothing but continued success.”
Kerr joined PropertyGuru last year as HR Director and Head of HR Business Partnering, bringing over two decades of strategic HR leadership experience. She previously held roles at Dyson, Macquarie Group, and Bank of America. She began her career at Wragge (now Gowling WLG) as an Employment Lawyer in 2002.
Academically, Kerr holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Leeds, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Leeds Metropolitan University, and completed her Legal Practice Course at The College of Law.
