RAM Holdings Berhad has appointed Julie Ng as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer following the retirement of Chris W.K. Lee, who stepped down as Group CEO and Executive Director of RAM Holdings and RAM Rating Services Berhad (RAM Ratings) on September 30, 2026, after a 34-year career with the group.
Ng’s appointment as Acting Group CEO took effect on October 1, 2026, while she became an Executive Director of RAM Ratings on October 12, 2026.
She will continue in her role as CEO of RAM Ratings, which she has held since April 2024, alongside her acting group-level responsibilities.
The leadership transition is intended to ensure continuity in the group's strategy and operations as the board considers its longer-term leadership arrangements.
Ng brings more than 32 years of industry experience, spanning credit ratings, credit risk management, financial services consultancy, data analytics and research. She has also led several strategic initiatives within the group.
YBhg Datuk Kamaruddin Taib, Chairman of RAM Holdings and RAM Ratings, said, "The Board thanks Chris for his dedication and distinguished service to RAM, including his stewardship as Group CEO. His contributions supported the Group’s continued steady development, and his commitment to RAM and its values will be remembered."
The chairman added, "Julie’s appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in her leadership to advance the RAM Group in its next phase of transformation and growth while upholding the independence, integrity and excellence that underpin our reputation."
The succession marks a leadership transition for the Malaysian financial services group as it continues to pursue its strategic priorities under interim leadership.
