Manulife Singapore has appointed Richard Bracken as Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately.
In his new role, he will lead efforts to strengthen operational capabilities, improve service quality, optimise cost structures, and enhance the company’s digital customer experience across key touchpoints.
Announcing the move, Bracken shared: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Operations Officer at Manulife Singapore!”
Bracken brings extensive experience in operational transformation, digital innovation, and commercial strategy across the Asia-Pacific financial services sector. Over the years, he has held senior leadership roles spanning operations and consumer distribution, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at AIA Philippines.
Prior to joining Manulife Singapore, Bracken worked at Chubb as Head of Strategic Partnership Development for APAC, Japan, and International Digital. In that role, he focused on driving growth across Japanese operations and global digital accounts, while developing new digital insurance propositions, strengthening partnerships, and accelerating commercial execution through AI-led initiatives.
His career also includes leadership stints at Coherent as Global Chief Revenue Officer and at NN Group as Head of Strategic Execution. Earlier in his career, he worked with ING and ANZ Bank in key leadership roles, where he contributed to large-scale transformation programmes focused on operational efficiency and customer experience.
Known for combining operational expertise with a strong commercial mindset, Bracken has led multiple large-scale transformation initiatives across global financial institutions, delivering improvements in customer experience, efficiency, and digital capabilities.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Engineering from Nottingham Trent University.
