Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince and Chairman of the executive council, has made senior official appointments in the Dubai government, as per a series of executive council resolutions announced on July 12, 2023. The appointments will be effective from July 17, 2023, after being published in the official gazette.
The resolution also includes the transfer of Hamed Abdul Ghafoor Mohammad Al Awadhi, who is currently serving in the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. Starting on July 17, he will assume the position of Executive Director in the Shared Services Sector of the Department of Finance.
Further, Ahmad Ali Belqaizi AlFalasi will assume the role of Executive Director of the Aviation Safety and Environment Sector within the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.
Another significant appointment made through executive council resolutions is Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Hassan Al Shehi, who will serve as the Assistant CEO of the Housing Sector at Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
In addition to these key positions, the resolutions also extend to the following appointments:
- Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dubai Electronic Security Center
- Younus Abdulaziz Al-Haj Mahmoud Al Nasser has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment
- Matar Saeed Obaid Khalfan Al-Hemeiri has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment
- Tariq Yousuf Ahmad Yousuf AlJanahi has been named as the Executive Director of the Corporate Enablement Sector at the Digital Dubai Authority
- Amer AlSayed Sharafuddin Sharaf AlHashimi has been named as the Executive Director of the Cyber Security Systems and Services Sector at the Dubai Electronic Security Center.
Furthermore, the resolution also included the following promotions:
- Afaf Ahmad Ali BuOsaiba has been promoted to the position of Executive Director of the Data and Statistics Operations Sector at the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment
- Dr Moza Shaiban Khamis Suwaidan has been promoted to the role of Executive Director of the Digital Applications and Platforms Sector at the Digital Dubai Government Establishment
- Khalifa Ali Ghanem Ali Al-Marri has been promoted to the role of Executive Director of the Shared Government Services Sector at the Digital Dubai Government Establishment.
All resolutions are effective from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette soon
