Shopper360, a shopper marketing services provider in retail and consumer goods industries in Malaysia, has hired Matthew Ho, former Facebook Malaysia client partner as the group CEO. Ho will begin his new role starting Jan. 9, 2019 and bring with him more than 15 years of experience across various industries in the APAC region and the US.
As group CEO, Ho will be in charge of driving the growth of the company and accelerating the development of Shopper360’s offerings. Prior to his work at Facebook, he was also the South Pacific Regional Director and Head of Digital at Huawei Technologies and before that a general manager at MEC, a global media agency where his responsibilities included new business development and leading digital practice.
“We are reviewing several mergers and acquisitions opportunities and joint ventures that will strengthen our digital offerings,” said Chew Sue Ann, current Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Shopper360. “I look forward to partnering with Mr. Ho to seize those opportunities, that will complement our core competencies, and help us build a sustainable business for the future.”
Chew will focus on her role as the Executive Chairman and lead the company’s board of directors. She will also focus on expanding the company’s reach to international markets and “deepening relationships with strategic partners.”
The role of Group CEO is a newly created position within the company, according to a release from the company.
“I am delighted to be part of Shopper360 and its expansion across the region. It is truly an exciting time for the business as we continue to build capabilities for our partners,” Ho added about his recent appointment.
