Tractebel appoints Pierre Devillers as CEO

Engineering and consulting company Tractebel has appointed Pierre Devillers as Chief Executive Officer, effective 15 September 2026, as the company continues to focus on supporting the global energy transition.

Devillers succeeds Anne Harvengt, who is taking on a new role within parent company ENGIE as Group Enterprise Transformation Project Director.

Devillers brings 30 years of international experience within ENGIE, having held senior leadership positions across Europe and Latin America.

He joined ENGIE in 1996 and became part of the management team of its Energy Trading and Portfolio Management division in 2001. In 2007, after leading an HR transformation programme, he was appointed HR Director for the Energy Benelux and Germany area.

In 2010, Devillers was involved in ENGIE's integration of International Power, the British electricity generation company acquired by the group. He moved to Latin America in 2011, where he held several leadership roles, including Chief Customer Solutions Officer, Country Manager for Chile and Colombia, and Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer.

Devillers returned to Europe in July 2021 and subsequently held several roles, including Group Transformation Vice-President and Country Manager Netherlands. Since 2024, he has served as Regional Vice President for Europe and Latin America.

Taking on the CEO role at Tractebel, Devillers said his focus will be on building on the company's existing capabilities while pursuing business growth and long-term value creation.

“I am honoured to be taking on the role of CEO of Tractebel,” Devillers said, adding that his three decades within ENGIE had given him a strong appreciation of Tractebel's expertise and contribution to the energy transition.

He also acknowledged Harvengt's leadership, crediting her with overseeing several major transformations at Tractebel, including a strategic refocus aimed at positioning the business for sustainable growth.

Devillers said he was looking forward to working with Tractebel's employees, clients and partners as the company continues to develop its role in the energy transition.
