ERA Singapore will make one-off payments of up to S$1,000 to all 156 employees at its headquarters on 25 September 2026, as the real estate company seeks to support staff amid rising living costs, according to BW People.
Employees who have completed at least one year of service will receive S$1,000, while those with less than 12 months at the company will receive S$500. The payment will be separate from regular performance bonuses and existing employee benefits.
Long-term workforce
The company has a sizeable base of long-serving employees. Around 44 per cent of its corporate workforce have been with ERA Singapore for more than five years, while 34 per cent have completed more than a decade with the business.
The tenure profile means a significant proportion of employees will qualify for the higher S$1,000 payment.
Previous employee payments
ERA Singapore, which is operated by SGX-listed APAC Realty, has previously made additional payments to employees.
Following APAC Realty's listing in 2017, non-senior management employees received a one-month bonus. In 2021, employees were awarded a special one-month bonus after a period of stronger business performance, while shareholders also received a dividend.
The latest initiative differs in being a fixed one-off payment determined by employee tenure.
AI training to complement payout
Alongside the financial support, ERA Singapore is also expanding its focus on AI adoption and workplace skills.
Employees will receive access to ChatGPT Enterprise tools, while a partnership with NTUC LearningHub will provide access to AI-related training resources and programmes.
The initiatives reflect the company's broader focus on preparing employees for changing workplace requirements as AI becomes increasingly embedded in business operations. By combining a direct financial benefit with access to emerging technology and training, ERA Singapore is addressing both immediate employee needs and longer-term skills development.
