Reese stepped down as Executive VP and CFO to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Aon has appointed Nadin Virani as Interim Chief Financial Officer following the immediate transition of Edmund Reese from the role, as the global professional services firm reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial guidance.

Dublin-headquartered Aon said Reese will leave his position as Executive Vice President and CFO to pursue opportunities outside the company. He will remain with Aon as a senior adviser to President and CEO Greg Case through August 16, 2027, supporting the leadership transition.

Case thanked Reese for his contribution to Aon, highlighting his role in executing the company's 3x3 Plan, strengthening its capabilities and supporting growth and shareholder value.

Reese said it had been a privilege to serve as Aon's CFO and pointed to the progress made in strengthening the company's financial foundation and growth engine.

Virani brings extensive financial leadership experience to the role. He most recently served as Aon's Global Head of Corporate Planning and Analytics, overseeing financial planning and analysis, forecasting, cash management and budgeting. He was also a member of Aon's Executive Committee.

Before joining Aon, Virani was Head of Corporate Planning and Analytics at Broadridge Financial. He also spent 18 years at American Express, where he held several CFO positions across London, Frankfurt and New York. His experience at American Express covered international and US lending, loyalty, insurance and merchant pricing, as well as his role as General Manager for the Delta Amex Co-Brand portfolio.

"His financial expertise and proven leadership will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate our Aon United strategy and create better outcomes for clients and shareholders," Case said.

As Interim CFO, Virani will report to Case and lead Aon's Finance organisation while working with the Aon Executive Committee on the company's financial strategy. Aon has also appointed an executive search firm to conduct an internal and external search for a permanent CFO.

Virani said he was honoured to take on the interim role and would remain focused on financial discipline and investment in the business while supporting Aon's growth and long-term shareholder value.

The CFO transition comes shortly after Aon's second-quarter earnings update on July 29, 2026. The company said it is reaffirming the full-year 2026 financial guidance provided in that update.
