Martin Kvist brings nearly 15 years of leadership experience at European payments company Nets, where he held senior finance roles spanning technology, payments and international businesses.

UK frontline worker discounts and rewards platform Blue Light Card has appointed Martin Kvist as Chief Financial Officer as the business continues to expand its membership, brand partnerships and international footprint.

Kvist joins Blue Light Card from Too Good To Go, where he served as Group CFO and supported the purpose-led business through its international expansion and path to profitability.

He brings nearly 15 years of experience at European payments company Nets, where he held several senior finance leadership positions. His experience spans technology, payments and international businesses.

Kvist's appointment comes as Blue Light Card scales its offering to frontline workers. The platform now has more than six million members across the emergency services, NHS, social care, education sector and armed forces. It also works with more than 15,000 brands and has expanded internationally into Australia.

“Martin brings exactly the combination of experience we need for our next stage of growth,” said Alidad Moghaddam, Chief Executive Officer at Blue Light Card. He highlighted Kvist's experience in scaling an international, purpose-led business while maintaining strong financial foundations for sustainable growth.

The company said it will continue investing in its technology, product, partnerships and people as it expands. Over the past 12 months, Blue Light Card members saved a record £560 million through the platform.

Kvist succeeds Vicky Norrish, who is leaving Blue Light Card after almost six years as CFO.

Commenting on his appointment, Kvist said the platform's combination of a clear social mission and strong commercial fundamentals was a key attraction. He said he plans to draw on his experience of building sustainable growth while helping Blue Light Card pursue its next phase of expansion.

The leadership change comes as Blue Light Card seeks to build further value for its members and commercial partners while continuing its international growth.

The company recently appointed Julia Diggs as Chief People Officer, further strengthening its executive leadership team as it enters its next phase of growth.
