Chung’s elevation strengthens Burson’s regional leadership as she takes charge of 11 markets across Asia-Pacific.

Burson has elevated HS Chung as its new Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific region, further expanding her leadership remit beyond North Asia to the agency’s full regional footprint. Effective December 1, 2025, the move positions Chung at the helm of Burson’s operations across Australia and New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and her existing markets of China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. She will continue to be based in Seoul.

Chung has been a central figure in the communication landscape for more than two decades, advising C-suite leaders across multinational companies in sectors such as food and beverage, electronics, automotive, healthcare and personal care. Her advisory work also extends to national initiatives for the Korean government, including major programmes and large-scale events like the Olympics.

Corey duBrowa, Global Chief Executive of Burson, said Chung brings a rare combination of strategic acuity and operational depth to the role. “HS has a combination of superpowers that make her extremely well-suited to lead the entire region. She is a trusted CEO advisor, a business builder, a talent advocate and an operational maven. These strengths, paired with her understanding of cultural nuances across Asia-Pacific, will help us continue delivering strong results and further strengthen our regional foundation,” he said.

Reflecting on her expanded mandate, Chung said she is committed to accelerating Burson’s momentum. “As our clients navigate unprecedented complexity, we are using our comprehensive AI capabilities and exceptional talent bench to help them make decisions with clarity. With Asia-Pacific continuing to shape the global economy, I’m excited to help our clients and teams seize the opportunities ahead.”

The agency also confirmed the exit of Adrian Warr, who previously led South Asia-Pacific and will leave Burson on November 30, 2025, as he relocates to the United Kingdom. DuBrowa thanked Warr for his leadership and partnership during his tenure.
