CBRE has announced the appointment of Abhishek Bajpai as Managing Director and Head of Client Engagement for Asia Pacific, effective May 1. The strategic hire underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening client relationships and expanding its market presence across the region.

Based in Singapore, Bajpai will report to Tom Gaffney. In his new role, he will collaborate closely with regional leaders to establish a dedicated client engagement platform aimed at driving revenue growth and increasing market share across CBRE’s Asia Pacific Leasing business.

The appointment reflects CBRE’s focus on enhancing value delivery to global clients amid evolving real estate demands. “Abhishek’s experience with complex occupier portfolios and multi-market mandates aligns directly with where our business is headed. He adds significant depth to our regional leadership team in Asia Pacific,” said Gaffney.

Bajpai brings more than 23 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Recognised as a trusted advisor to global occupiers and institutional investors, he has built a strong reputation for scaling enterprise occupier accounts and managing complex, multi-market relationships across Asia Pacific and beyond. Over the course of his career, he has led more than 500 projects and secured numerous high-profile mandates for international clients, demonstrating deep expertise in occupier solutions and portfolio optimisation.

He rejoins CBRE from EQT Real Estate, where he served as Managing Director and APAC Head of Leasing and Occupier Solutions. Prior to that, Bajpai spent nearly 18 years at Colliers, leading the firm’s Occupier Services platform across the region. His responsibilities included account management, regional tenant representation, occupier strategy, workplace advisory, and lease administration.

With this leadership appointment, CBRE aims to further strengthen its client-centric approach and reinforce its position as a market leader in Asia Pacific’s dynamic commercial real estate landscape.
