Darren Ng appointed WRISE Group CFO and Chief of Staff

Ng will retain his responsibilities as Group CFO while working closely with the Board and Group Executive Committee in his new capacity as Group Chief of Staff.
WRISE Group Chief Financial Officer Darren Ng Wee Kiat has taken on the additional role of Group Chief of Staff, expanding his remit as the wealth manager enters its next phase of growth.
Ng will retain his responsibilities as Group CFO while working closely with the Board and Group Executive Committee in his new capacity. His responsibilities as Group Chief of Staff will include strategic planning, enterprise performance management and execution of key Group priorities.
He will also support cross-functional alignment, strengthen accountability and ensure disciplined execution of strategic initiatives across the organisation.
The expanded mandate comes as WRISE continues to scale across markets, businesses and capabilities and strengthens its leadership structure to support its next phase of growth.
Ng joined WRISE in 2025 and has played a key role in strengthening the Group’s financial management while supporting its broader transformation and growth agenda. He was recently recognised as Best CFO – Singapore, APAC at the 2026 Corporate Treasurer Marquee Awards.
Commenting on his expanded role in a LinkedIn post, Ng said, “I’m also honoured to take on the additional responsibility of Group Chief of Staff, alongside my role as Group CFO - supporting strategic execution, cross-functional alignment and coordination across the Group as we enter this next chapter.”
Reflecting on WRISE’s growth, Ng said the organisation’s next phase would require stronger leadership foundations.
“The opportunity ahead is significant. But so is the responsibility that comes with it: To build an institution that combines entrepreneurial agility with institutional discipline, while remaining firmly focused on our clients and our people,” he said.
Ng also welcomed Bahren Shaari to WRISE’s Group Executive Committee, saying his “experience and perspective will be a tremendous addition” to the leadership team.
The expanded role positions Ng at the intersection of WRISE’s financial management and wider strategic execution as the group continues to expand its markets, businesses and capabilities.
