Embed Financial Group Holdings (EFGH) has appointed organisational development and HR leader Renyi Yan as its new Chief People Officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on strengthening leadership capability and organisational structure as it expands across markets.

Yan brings two decades of experience in human resources and organisational development across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, having held senior roles with global organisations including PwC, Ericsson, Prudential and Saudi Aramco. Over the years, he has supported leadership teams through periods of transformation and growth, specialising in workforce strategy, culture development and organisational design.

In his new role at EFGH, Yan will lead the Group’s people and organisation agenda, focusing on building leadership capability and shaping a culture that supports the company’s continued expansion.

Announcing the appointment, the company highlighted the strategic importance of people and culture in scaling organisations. “Every growing organisation eventually reaches a point where strategy alone isn’t enough. The people who build the culture matter just as much,” the company said. “That’s why we're glad to welcome Renyi Yan to EFGH.”

The company added that Yan’s experience across APAC and the Middle East will help guide the organisation as it continues to grow its presence across multiple markets.

Yan also shared his enthusiasm about the new role, saying he was “humbled and excited” to join the organisation. “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People Officer at Embed Financial Group Holdings,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post. “I am delighted to be starting this next chapter… working alongside the team to build the people and organisation agenda as we continue our growth across markets.”

Reflecting on his experience across regions, Yan noted that while strategy provides direction, people and culture ultimately determine whether organisations succeed at scale. “One lesson has stayed constant with me: strategy sets the direction, but people and culture determine whether organisations truly scale,” he said.

Prior to joining EFGH, Yan served as Senior Organisational Development Advisor at Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, he worked as Organisational Development Lead at NCS Group in Singapore, and has also held roles with organisations including SP Group, SPH Media, Shopee, OCBC, HSBC and Synapxe.

Yan holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has also completed an executive programme in Sustainability Studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management, along with several professional certifications.
