Global GSA Group appoints Kevin Wang as Taiwan managing director

Wang brings 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, having held roles at headquarters as well as leadership positions across diverse markets.
The Global GSA Group (GGG) has appointed Kevin Wang as its new Managing Director in Taiwan, with a mandate to strengthen the company's market position, deepen airline partnerships and connect its global network with local market expertise.
Wang will oversee the company's operations in Taiwan, including business development and profit and loss, while leading the local team and strengthening relationships with airlines, freight forwarders and key customers.
Aytekin Saray, CEO of Global GSA Group, said Wang's three decades of aviation experience and knowledge of the Taiwanese market would support the company's strategy of combining its international network with local management expertise.
“Kevin brings extensive experience in the aviation industry and a deep understanding of the local market,” Saray said. “His appointment aligns with our approach to combine the strength of our global network with experienced local management.”
A key priority for Wang will be improving operational quality and supporting airlines in expanding their cargo business in Taiwan.
Wang said the company aims to bring together international capabilities and Taiwanese expertise to create sustainable commercial value for airline partners.
Taiwan's high-tech manufacturing sector presents significant opportunities for air freight, according to Wang. Key cargo categories include semiconductors, AI servers, GPUs, circuit boards, drones, automotive components and precision instruments.
He also identified pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, temperature-controlled cargo, e-commerce and high-quality fruit as areas with potential for further growth.
North America and Europe remain important long-haul markets for Taiwan, while links with Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, are becoming increasingly significant, Wang said.
Wang also plans to use digital tools, data analytics and market intelligence to improve decision-making and support more targeted business development.
A key part of his role will be integrating these technologies into the workflows of the Taiwanese team to improve efficiency and enable faster responses to market opportunities.
Wang brings 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, having held roles at headquarters as well as leadership positions in Dallas, Manila, Bangkok and Xiamen. His experience spans cargo sales, revenue management, network planning and operations.
With his appointment, GGG said Wang will focus on strengthening its airline relationships and expanding its role as a partner for carriers seeking to grow their cargo business in Taiwan.
