Greystar appoints Daniella Meyer as Senior Director, People and Culture APAC and Japan

Meyer will continue to lead the People and Culture agenda across APAC and Japan, partnering with the APAC CEO, Country Managing Directors, and regional leadership to drive talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies.
Greystar has promoted Daniella Meyer to Senior Director, People and Culture for APAC and Japan, strengthening its regional leadership bench as the firm continues to expand across Asia-Pacific markets.
Meyer steps into the elevated role after serving as Director, People and Culture – APAC and Japan, where she played a central role in shaping the company’s people strategy. As a member of the APAC Executive Leadership Team, she has worked closely with regional leaders to align talent, culture, and organisational capability with business growth priorities.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Meyer said, “I’m happy to share that I’ve been promoted to Senior Director, People and Culture APAC and Japan at Greystar.”
In her expanded mandate, Meyer will continue to lead the People and Culture agenda across APAC and Japan, partnering with the APAC CEO, Country Managing Directors, and regional leadership to drive talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies across diverse and emerging markets.
She brings more than 15 years of HR leadership experience spanning APAC, Japan, and South America, with a strong track record in supporting organisations through periods of rapid growth and transformation.
Before joining Greystar, Meyer held key HR leadership roles at Okta, where she supported hypergrowth across APAC and Japan, and at Indeed, where she led HR strategy during a phase of rapid regional expansion. Her earlier career includes roles at Getty Images, Merrill Lynch, and Deutsche Bank.
Known for combining strategic vision with hands-on execution, Meyer focuses on building scalable, people-first initiatives that support business outcomes while fostering high-performance and inclusive workplace cultures.
