ICTSI appoints Mark Hernandez as Head of HR for South Luzon Container Terminal

Hernandez brings nearly three decades of HR leadership experience across oil and gas, FMCG, telecommunications, automotive, financing, and shipping and logistics sectors.

International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) has appointed Mark Hernandez as the new Head of Human Resources for its South Luzon Container Terminal, strengthening its leadership bench as it continues to expand operations and workforce capabilities.


Hernandez announced his new role in a LinkedIn update, expressing enthusiasm about joining ICTSI and taking on the HR leadership position at the strategic terminal.


Bringing nearly three decades of experience in human resources management, Hernandez has worked across a diverse range of industries, including oil and gas, FMCG, telecommunications, automotive, financing, and shipping and logistics. His cross-sector exposure is expected to support ICTSI’s people strategy in a dynamic and operationally intensive environment.


Prior to joining ICTSI, Hernandez served as Head of HR and Shared Services at Pacific Roadlink Logistics, where he spent close to two years leading HR operations. His earlier roles include senior HR leadership positions at PTC Group, South Pacific Incorporated, and Silver Finance. He has also held roles within Alfardan Group.


Known for his leadership and operational discipline, Hernandez is recognised for building high-performing teams, managing complex workloads, and driving organizational goals under tight timelines. His expertise in stakeholder engagement and change management is expected to play a key role in aligning HR practices with business priorities at ICTSI.


On the academic front, Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology from Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He has also completed the Applied Business Economics Program at University of Asia and the Pacific, along with diplomas in Applied MBA from Executive Development Academy and Organizational Development from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. In addition, he holds certifications in change management, HR, and transformational leadership from Alison.


His appointment comes at a time when ICTSI continues to invest in strengthening its workforce and operational efficiency across its global terminal network.
