IFFCO-TOKIO appoints Tatsuya Fujimoto as MD and CEO

Fujimoto succeeds Subrata Mondal and brings more than two decades of experience across Japan, the US, Malaysia and India.
IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company has appointed Tatsuya Fujimoto as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 7 September 2026.
Fujimoto succeeds Subrata Mondal and brings more than two decades of experience across Japan, the US, Malaysia and India, spanning strategic planning, risk management and operations.
Announcing the appointment, IFFCO-TOKIO said, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tatsuya Fujimoto as Managing Director & CEO Designate of IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company Ltd. He will assume charge as Managing Director & CEO effective 7 September 2026.”
Fujimoto has been with IFFCO-TOKIO since 2024, when he joined as Senior Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer. He moved into the role of Director (Operations) Designate in 2025 and later was appointed Director (Operations).
Before joining IFFCO-TOKIO, Fujimoto served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at First Insurance Company of Hawaii. He previously spent two years as Senior Vice President at Tokio Marine America, focusing on business strategy.
His international experience also includes four years as General Manager at Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Tokio Marine Holdings and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance in Japan, including positions in corporate planning and business strategy.
IFFCO-TOKIO said Fujimoto brings rich expertise in strategic planning, risk management and operational excellence to the leadership role.
