Jacobs has appointed Cheryl Lim as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 18, 2026, as the company continues to strengthen its global leadership team amid ongoing business growth and transformation efforts.
The appointment brings to Jacobs a seasoned HR leader with more than two decades of experience across multinational industrial and technology businesses. Most recently, Lim served as CHRO and Section 16 Officer at Vertiv Holdings, where she led the people strategy for a global workforce of approximately 34,000 employees.
Lim will be based in Dallas, Texas, and report directly to Bob Pragada.
During her tenure at Vertiv, Lim helped reshape the company’s HR and talent functions while supporting a period of strong business performance. Her work focused on aligning people strategy with shareholder value, introducing new company behaviors, and strengthening performance-driven rewards frameworks to support a high-performance culture.
Before joining Vertiv, Lim held senior HR leadership roles at ITT Inc. and spent nearly two decades at Honeywell International, where she led human resources across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and other high-growth regions. In that role, she oversaw HR operations across 45 countries supporting roughly 35,000 employees.
Her experience also includes leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, global HR operations, mergers and acquisitions integration, executive compensation, succession planning, and employee relations.
Commenting on the appointment, Pragada said, “Cheryl brings exceptional depth and breadth of global HR leadership to Jacobs at a pivotal moment in our growth journey. Her track record of building world-class people organisations, driving cultural transformation and delivering measurable business impact speaks for itself.”
He added, “We are delighted to welcome her to Jacobs and look forward to her contributions as we continue building a company where talented people can do their best work.”
Lim said she was drawn to Jacobs’ strong culture and sense of purpose.
“Jacobs has an outstanding reputation, deeply talented people and a clear sense of purpose,” she said. “I am thrilled to be joining at this exciting stage and look forward to partnering with Bob and the leadership team to continue investing in our people and culture as a true driver of business success.”
Lim holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts in German and management studies from University of Leeds.
Jacobs, which reported approximately $12 billion in annual revenue and employs around 47,000 people globally, operates across sectors including advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, transportation, life sciences, water, and environmental services.
