Serco appoints Fiona Walters as UK & Europe CEO

Walters previously served as Regional CEO for UK & Ireland at G4S, leading over 30,000 employees before joining Serco Group in September 2025.
Serco Group has announced that Fiona Walters has officially taken up her role as Chief Executive Officer for its UK & Europe division, effective Monday, 23 March 2026, marking a key leadership transition for the international provider of critical government services.
Walters brings extensive international experience working with governments and commercial clients across multiple regions. She joined Serco in September 2025 from G4S, where she served as Regional CEO for the UK & Ireland, leading a workforce of more than 30,000 employees.
Prior to her role in the UK & Ireland, Walters held several senior operational and business development leadership roles in the Americas, eventually serving as Chief Commercial Officer. In that role, she oversaw the growth of multiple services across more than 20 countries and managed revenue exceeding $3 billion. She was also responsible for global account sales and a US Federal Government services programme spanning over 40 countries, and later led sales and marketing operations across 95 countries.
Serco Group CEO Anthony Kirby welcomed Walters’ appointment, noting that she had already been supporting strategic initiatives since joining the company in September last year. He highlighted her more than 20 years of senior leadership experience and her track record in strategy execution, performance delivery, and commercial growth across both the UK and US markets.
Walters said she was excited to begin her new role and described Serco as a business whose services make a meaningful difference to society. She outlined her key priorities for the UK & Europe division as growth, performance, and people, adding that the company would focus on understanding customer needs, delivering innovative solutions, and leveraging technology, talent, and processes to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
