Unilever International onboards former Tata Communications Head of HR

Shagun started as Senior Global HRBP for Customer Development, Supply Chain, and Digital – Future of Work Lead on 1 October.
Shagun Agrawal, the former Head of HR for Asia Pacific and ANZ at Tata Communications, has joined Unilever International as Senior Global HRBP for Customer Development, Supply Chain, and Digital – Future of Work Lead effective 1 October, reporting directly to the CHRO.
Shagun began her career with Tech Mahindra in 2008 and has held HRBP and leadership roles across a variety of industries including telecommunications, retail, and now FMCG. Her key specialties include talent strategy, organisational effectiveness, and talent development for sustainable growth. At Tata Communications, she led the people strategy across diverse markets and supported business transformation, leadership effectiveness, and employee experience.
At Unilever International, Shagun is part of the global HR leadership team and serves as the talent partner for three critical pillars of the business: customer development (the growth engine), supply chain (the backbone of growth), and digital (the technology driver. Her focus will be on ensuring that talent and capability building are at the heart of business growth.
"This means co-creating leadership pipelines, accelerating digital and future-of-work readiness, and driving inclusion and engagement globally," Shagun told People Matters. "My approach is to be both data-led and human-centred — combining insights with empathy to build a workforce that is agile, resilient, and inspired."
Shagun will continue to be based out of Singapore in her new role.
