Beyond Border appoints former Airbnb, Zenyum executives as advisors amid US, Latin America expansion

As advisors, Hong Siew and Abdel-Rahman will support Beyond Border’s next phase of growth, as the company expands its US operations and targets new opportunities across Latin America.
Singapore-founded immigration platform Beyond Border has appointed former Airbnb China COO Kum Hong Siew and former Zenyum Chief Marketing Officer Bassam Abdel-Rahman as advisors as the company prepares to expand its presence across the United States and Latin America.
Siew has joined as Business Advisor, while Abdel-Rahman has been appointed Growth Advisor. The appointments come as Beyond Border reports reaching a multimillion-dollar annual revenue run rate while remaining net profitable for the past two years.
The company said revenue increased 38% quarter-on-quarter in its most recent quarter, putting it on track to triple its annual revenue year-on-year in 2026.
“We have shown that a company founded in Singapore can build a profitable global business by solving a critical problem for founders and highly skilled professionals entering the U.S,” said Fred Ng, CEO and co-founder of Beyond Border.
“Our next stage is about deepening our reach in the U.S. and expanding into Latin America. Kum Hong’s experience scaling complex international operations and Bassam’s expertise in building regional brands will help us approach that growth with greater discipline,” he added.
In his new role, Siew will advise Beyond Border on business strategy, legal operations and operational scaling.
Siew was among Airbnb’s earliest employees in the Asia-Pacific region and later led its regional business before becoming COO of Airbnb China. Prior to joining Airbnb, he held roles at Rajah & Tann and Yahoo!.
He said immigration decisions can influence where founders establish companies, hire employees and pursue customers and capital.
“Beyond Border has recognised that these decisions sit at the intersection of legal, operational and business strategy,” Siew said. “I look forward to supporting Fred and the team as they strengthen the company’s operating foundations and expand into new markets.”
Abdel-Rahman will advise the company on brand, marketing and customer growth. He previously served as CMO at Zenyum, where he helped scale the startup into a consumer brand operating across nine markets.
Before Zenyum, he held senior positions at creative agency 72andSunny, working with brands including Adidas, Google and Grab.
Abdel-Rahman said the immigration journey involves significant personal and professional decisions for founders and highly skilled professionals.
“Founders and highly skilled professionals who come to Beyond Border are not simply filing for a visa; they are making a deeply human decision about where they can build their futures,” he said.
He added that the company's opportunity was to build a brand that understands the significance of those decisions and earns the trust of customers across the US, Latin America and other markets.
Over the next 12 months, Beyond Border plans to deepen its presence in the US while strengthening relationships with founders, venture capital firms and startup ecosystems across Asia.
It also plans to expand in Latin America through regional partnerships and dedicated support for professionals seeking to relocate to the US.
