As skills shortages reshape APAC’s labour market, the partnership promises sharper workforce decisions powered by analytics and verified skills data.

As organisations across Asia Pacific region race to adapt to AI-led disruption and an ageing workforce, the gap between available skills and business needs is widening fast. Addressing this challenge now requires more than intuition, it demands real-time intelligence on what skills exist, what’s missing, and how talent investments translate into outcomes.

In response, workforce intelligence leader Visier has announced a strategic partnership with JobKred, a skills-based workforce transformation platform focused on the Asia Pacific region.

The collaboration brings JobKred onto Visier’s Skills OSI, combining deep workforce analytics with verified skills data to help organisations move decisively toward skills-based talent models. Together, they aim to give business and HR leaders the clarity to identify skills gaps early, guide employee development with precision, and measure the return on workforce transformation efforts.

Skills clarity in an era of AI acceleration

Across APAC, AI adoption is reshaping job roles at speed, while large segments of the workforce near retirement. Many organisations know they must reskill and redeploy talent, but lack a clear view of existing capabilities or future requirements.

This collaboration aims to solve this by integrating Visier’s advanced people analytics with JobKred’s skills intelligence platform. Together, the solution allows organisations to map current skills, anticipate future shortages based on business strategy and market trends, and make data-driven decisions around hiring, learning and internal mobility.

“The shift to a skills-based organization is a critical competitive advantage in today’s dynamic market, and it begins with data-driven clarity,” said Lee Boon Huat, SVP, Growth & Strategy, Visier APAC. “Our partnership with JobKred is a direct response to the rising demand in APAC for solutions that bridge people analytics and career growth.”

From skills data to measurable outcomes

Beyond skills visibility, the partnership places strong emphasis on outcomes, an area where many workforce initiatives fall short. Through the combined platform, organisations can:
  • Identify critical skill gaps using predictive analytics aligned to business goals
  • Personalise employee growth by linking learning pathways and career moves to both individual aspirations and organisational needs
  • Measure transformation ROI, tying skills development directly to productivity, retention and workforce performance
This focus on measurable impact is particularly relevant in a region where HR leaders are under growing pressure to justify learning and development spend. “Asia Pacific is at a pivotal moment,” said Gary Gan, CEO and Co-Founder, JobKred.

“Companies know they need to move to skills-based models but often lack the data and tools to make it happen. This partnership gives organisations the end-to-end capabilities to make workforce transformation real, measurable and scalable,” he added.

A skills-first future for APAC

As regulatory pressures, demographic shifts and digital acceleration converge, APAC employers are being pushed to rethink how talent is developed and deployed.

This partnership reflects a broader shift away from role-based workforce planning toward skills-first strategies anchored in analytics. By linking verified skills data with workforce intelligence, the partnership aims to help organisations not only close skills gaps, but do so in a way that strengthens retention, improves workforce agility and delivers tangible business value.
