Omni HR Acquires MajuHR, strengthens position in Asia's HR tech sector

The Singapore-based HR software provider hopes the acquisition will strengthen its position in the multi-billion dollar Asian market.
People Intelligence Singapore Pte. Ltd., better known as ‘Omni HR’, announced the purchase of software company MajuHR for an undisclosed amount on Monday. The deal is seen as a strategic step for the Singapore-based software company, which aims to consolidate its foothold in the fragmented yet highly lucrative HR tech market in Southeast Asia.
Omni HR said it plans to integrate its multi-country capabilities with MajuHR’s chat-native DNA, highlighting the latter’s intuitive HR experience as tailored to modern Asian workplaces. MajuHR’s existing customer base will also transition into the Omni HR platform.
“The combined platform (of Omni HR and MajuHR) will deliver more intuitive HR experiences tailored to how modern Asian teams operate,” Omni said in a press release. "The acquisition reflects growing demand in Asia’s $6.4 billion HR software market for platforms that actually understand how business gets done in the region, combining sophisticated automation with regional compliance expertise—capabilities that many local providers have been slow to develop.”
Omni HR Founder and CEO Brian Ip also said the MajuHR acquisition would allow the company to expand its product capabilities and client portfolio. “At Omni HR, our focus has always been on bringing automation and flexible workflows to modern teams operating across borders in Asia,” he said.
Roshan Ravishankar, co-founder of MajuHR, welcomed the deal, noting Omni HR’s reputation as ‘second to none’. “We're thrilled to bring our chat-native DNA under the Omni banner and collectively unlock a more seamless, data-rich experience for HR and Finance leaders across the region," he said.
Omni HR also stated that its acquisition of MajuHR will enhance its position as one of the key players in the growing Asian HR technology market. It also revealed plans to further invest in localization capabilities and is exploring partnerships and product extensions aimed at mid-market and enterprise clients across Asian markets.
“With the acquisition of MajuHR, Omni lays the groundwork for future expansion via both product development and strategic M&A,” the company said in a statement.
