The Hiraya facility is the company's 11th site in the Philippines and is set to expand their customer support capabilities worldwide.

Digital outsourcing firm TaskUs is expanding its Philippine operations with an additional 1,500 employees before the end of 2025 with the opening of its 11th site in the country.

The site, TaskUs Hiraya, was inaugurated on October 3 in Las Piñas City. It will provide various customer support tasks including customer service, sales, technical support, non-voice operations, and content moderation. The facility currently houses 700 staff and the companies it is expected to more than double that number by year-end.

Van Ormer, senior vice president for TaskUS’s Southeast Asian operations, said Las Piñas was selected because its strategic location matched the company’s 'People-First ethos’.

"80 percent of our Alabang-area teammates reside in the city or its immediate vicinity, and with access to major thoroughfares, proximity to Metro Manila, and the upcoming LRT-1 extension line, this site will eliminate lengthy commute times," Ormer added.

Ormer also noted the site’s close proximity to over a dozen colleges and universities, offering easy access to a highly educated talent pool.

TaskUs Vice President of Operations Al Sese said Hiraya, a Filipino word that means the fulfillment of hopes and dreams, embodies the firm’s vision of ‘a workspace where our teammates are not only excited to come every day but can also build their careers’.

"Hiraya is our first site with a Filipino theme, seamlessly combining traditional design elements with modern facilities, including a day care center, dedicated rooms for new mothers, 24/7 access to clinics, areas for sessions with wellness and resiliency coaches, a gym, and a cafeteria,” Sese said.

Established in 2008 in Cavite province south of Metro Manila, TaskUs started as a task-based virtual assistant platform. It has since grown into a global digital services provider handling content moderation, customer experience, artificial intelligence, operations and risk & response services for companies such as Facebook and DoorDash.

The Philippines continues to be its largest base operations, with over half of its 60,400-strong global workforce located in sites across the archipelago.
