Kyndryl appoints Megawaty Khie as VP and MD for ASEAN, Korea

Kyndryl has appointed Megawaty Khie as Vice President and Managing Director, ASEAN and Korea, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry to the role.

Khie joins Kyndryl with experience across cloud computing, artificial intelligence, enterprise technology, digital transformation, strategic partnerships, sales and regional business management across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Leadership across major technology firms

Before joining Kyndryl, Khie was Regional Managing Director, South East Asia at Avanade, where she led regional growth and worked with customers and ecosystem partners on cloud, digital and AI-powered solutions.

She previously spent more than five years at Google, holding senior Google Cloud roles including Director, Channels and Strategic Partnerships for Google Cloud South East Asia, Regional Director Indonesia and Malaysia Cloud, and Country Director, Cloud Indonesia.

Khie also served as President Director, Indonesia at IBM, where she oversaw a portfolio covering hardware, software, cloud and services, along with an organisation of around 1,000 employees.

Three decades in technology

Earlier in her career, Khie held senior leadership positions at SAP and HP. At SAP, she served as Vice President, SuccessFactors for South East Asia and Vice President and Managing Director, Indonesia.

At HP, she held roles including Managing Director, Personal Systems Group, Indonesia, Business Development Director, webOS, Asia Pacific and Japan, and Director, Corporate and Enterprise Sales, Personal Systems Group Asia Pacific and Japan.

She also served as Director and Country Manager, Indonesia at Dell and held a leadership role in Microsoft's Small and Midmarket Partner Group.

Khie began her technology career at Singtel as Channel Sales Manager.

In her new role at Kyndryl, Khie will lead the company's business across ASEAN and Korea as it works with enterprises to manage and transform their mission-critical technology environments.
