Saviynt, a leading provider of identity security solutions, has announced the appointment of Tim Wedande as Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

Based in Melbourne, Wedande will lead the company’s regional technology strategy, support strategic customer engagements, and act as a trusted adviser to enterprises navigating complex identity security transformations. In his new role, he will collaborate closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to accelerate adoption of Saviynt’s Identity Cloud platform and deliver measurable business outcomes across the APJ region.

Wedande brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, with deep expertise in security advisory and enterprise digital transformation. He has built a strong track record of helping organisations modernise identity investments while aligning cybersecurity strategies with broader business growth objectives. Most recently, he served as Partner at EY, where he worked with global organisations across regulated industries to design scalable and resilient identity capabilities.

“APJ is a dynamic and rapidly evolving market where organisations are prioritising identity as their core security control,” said Alex Lei, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), Saviynt. “Tim’s deep business consulting expertise and customer-first mindset will strengthen our presence in the region and help customers unlock the full value of identity security.”

The Asia Pacific identity and access management (IAM) market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by digital transformation, increasing compliance requirements, and rising cybersecurity risks. Industry projections indicate that the APJ IAM market could more than double in size by 2030, as organisations continue to modernise security frameworks, support hybrid working environments, and adopt cloud-first strategies.

“Having worked closely with customers and teams across Saviynt, I have seen firsthand how central identity has become to business resilience and growth,” said Wedande." As organisations across APJ accelerate digital and AI-led transformation, there is a clear opportunity to modernise identity as a strategic control plane, enabling stronger security, faster innovation, and measurable business value. Saviynt is well positioned to help enterprises navigate this complexity with clarity and confidence.”
