Paris Baguette Malaysia moves under Singapore regional management after Berjaya Food exit

Paris Baguette will increase training for its bakers and frontline teams while strengthening quality control and service standards.
Paris Baguette Malaysia is now under the direct ownership and management of the brand's Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore following Berjaya Food's (BFood) exit from the joint venture, according to media reports.
The change comes after BFood sold its entire 50% stake in Berjaya Paris Baguette to Paris Baguette Singapore for a nominal RM1, marking its exit from the loss-making bakery business in Malaysia.
Workforce and growth
As part of the integration, Paris Baguette will increase training for its bakers and frontline teams while strengthening quality control and service standards to enhance the customer experience.
Malaysia remains a key growth market and that combining its global expertise with local market knowledge and continued investment will support its long-term expansion.
It also reaffirmed halal compliance as a strategic priority, building on recent halal certifications in Singapore and Indonesia.
Additionally, its fully halal-certified production hub in Johor will strengthen supply chain resilience, improve product consistency and support future operational growth.
Regional integration
The new structure under Paris Baguette will give its Malaysian operations access to shared regional resources across brand strategy, product development, supply chain and operations.
It also aligns the business more closely with the company's Southeast Asia expansion plans.
